A compression-type EMT coupling or EMT coupling compression type is an electrical conduit used to join two pieces of EMT (electrical metallic tubing) together. It has a threaded body with a coupling nut and a compression ring that creates a water-tight seal when tightened. The coupling is installed by sliding it over the ends of the EMT and tightening the coupling nut, which creates a tight seal.
EMT Coupling Compression Type
EMT compression couplings are typically used in commercial, industrial, and residential electrical installations. They are used to join EMT conduits when running electrical cables through walls or ceilings, especially where there is a risk of moisture and dust.
