A chemical bolt with adhesive capsule or chemical anchor bolt is a fastening solution used to secure components to concrete or masonry structures. It consists of a threaded rod and a glass or plastic capsule containing a two-component adhesive (typically a resin and hardener).

  • During installation, a hole is drilled into the concrete or masonry, and the adhesive capsule is inserted. The threaded rod is then driven into the hole, breaking the capsule and mixing the adhesive, filling the void and creating a strong bond as it cures.

    Chemical bolts with adhesive capsules can typically accommodate high loads and are particularly effective where mechanical anchors may fail due to stress or cracking in concrete. They do not exert tension on the surrounding concrete, reducing the risk of cracking and damage.
