The clevis hanger is a metal assembly to support piping suspended from the ceiling. It consists of a horseshoe/letter-u-shaped piece bolted to a pipe hanger. This threaded bolt allows play of the u-shaped metal piece to reach the required pipe angle. The pipe hanger has a hole that will be bolted to the required height from the fully threaded rod suspended from the ceiling.

The galvanized coating protects against corrosion and can be used with PVC, galvanized copper, and many more types of pipe materials. The size of the clevis hanger is dependent on the diameter of the pipe to be installed, as well as enough allowance if insulation is needed to be wrapped around the pipe.
