A wedge anchor is a mechanical type of expansion bolt. It consists of four separate pieces: a threaded anchor body with a wedged end, a nut for tightening (paired with a washer), and an expansion clip. This type of wedge anchor is for concrete only. Installing his bolt will require having the whole anchor slotted into the pre-drilled hole. The tightened nut will raise the wedge at the end, splitting the clips at the bottom, and expanding the expansion clip in the concrete for a tight installation.
